The Cove: LEED Points with ArmaGirt Thermal Breaks
LEED Certified Apartment Building Features Armatherm™ Thermal Breaks
The Cove, a seven-story 210,000 sq ft building was recently completed and awarded LEED points due to its continuous insulation.
Working in collaboration with V10 Developments and The Architectural Team (TAT), this new apartment block consists of 173 market-rate apartments made up of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, with views into the Polar Park stadium, the home of the Worcester Red Sox, a minor league baseball team affiliated with the Boston Red Sox.

How Armatherm™ Helped Meet Net Zero and LEED Goals at The Cove
Chosen by TAT to help meet Net Zero goals and stricter sustainable standards, Armatherm™’s thermal break solutions were selected to enhance the thermal performance of the building. ArmaGirt in particular was selected for this project because of its simplicity to install, its high quality and its double insulating value due to its non-conductive attribute, unlike other steel girts.

Armatherm™ ArmaGirt™ Enhances Thermal Performance in Multi-Unit Developments
The implementation of Armatherm™’s ArmaGirt was a pivotal element to the continuous insulation system of the building, as it covered the entire envelope, providing extra secure anchoring for exterior cladding to be installed. This therefore enabled the project to meet optimal building efficiency and eco-friendly legislations.
